Cryinale Elf

Below, you will find the information and history of the Cryinale race, as known to the scholars in the 14th Age, where A Tempest Season currently takes place.



Cryinales are the last Elvish race on Eihydia. They are tall, standing on average at around 6 feet tall and have a slight build. They are most definitely not known for their strength or bodily endurance. They are known for their intelligence and compassion. Their intelligence assists them in being able to practice the Arcane arts efficiently.



The history of the Cryinale Elf dates back to roughly the 2nd or 3rd Age. This makes them almost as old as Humans. They’re one of the few races that has been able to present another perspective of history and origin stories for Eihydia as opposed to the Human’s version.

Cryinales, much like the Humans, migrated to several large continents and eventually settled on North Kel-sith as their home in the forests. During the 9th Age, the world wide event known as The Calling took place, which gathered the majority of the Cryinales in North Kel-sith for a resettlement of their people.

Cryinales have played a pivotal role in all aspects of Eihydia – both during the times of peace and the times of war. They have acted as almost a Sage like mentor to other races during times of crisis and despair. There is a common trend throughout their history of a conflict of principles with Indago’s. While Cryinales seek out peace and a balance in all things life, Indago’s crave power unrelentingly; this is a dichotomy of the highest degree.



Cryinale are a compassionate and calculating people. They care for others and are more apt to answer a call for help rather than turn away. Reputation is a must for the Cryinale. They are a non-violent race and do not actively seek violence or war out. Cryinales do have a small amount of resentment towards Indago’s, due to their reckless use of Magic and constant crave for power, and Disorains who they feel are hard to trust.


Racial Tensions

Cryinales have racial tensions with Indagos, who they generally despise their reckless use of magic and debasement of nature in the name of power. Additionally, Cryinale Elves find Gremlins as abominations.



Cryinale hail from the Northeastern continent of North Kel-sith. They predominantly live in Eridan, home to the Mage’s Guild and Arcane Order. Some Cryinales live in Vanyelar and the City of Ema.


Preferred Classes

Cryinale make excellent Mages, Wizards, Arcanists, and Rangers and decent Clerics.


Natural Ability

Nature’s Reclamation – automatically drain a portion of the essence from a slain foe.
Mediation – a diplomatic ability, removing all aggression from the target towards the Cryrinale Elf.
Graceful Feet – increases dodge chance and lowers risk while in combat by using the grace of the Elf.
