State of the Game - January 2016

Hello!

Here is the end of year State of the Game for A Tempest Season.

2015 was a good year for us and we made great progress to opening: new class, new game systems to fix issues, new staff (Amareth), and so on. We did not reach completion on all of our goals and tasks for us to open. Actinate and I do not want to open the game in a format where it is not ready. We also do not want to have to take time out of RP in order to add the base content the game needs.

Having said that, we have a few tasks to go!
1. Blood Shaman – design will begin soon!
2. Rangers – will come after Blood Shamans. Their hardest piece of content, missile weapons, is already in the game!
3. Merchant District – will be released soon.
4. Tutorial System for newbies – we all can agree this game is more complex than your average MUD, so having this is vital for player retention.
5. Minor fixes and cleanups – lore, help files, a few area tweaks and so on.

We are working very hard and our new target date is sometime around July! If not, towards the end of the year. We are very confident this will be the year we open!

If there is any interest from the players, we may be willing to have a Player-Staff meeting to talk about topics in an open forum! If you're interested let us know on the forums.
